The film revolves around Gopal (Madhavan) is madly in love with an actress Ambujam (Trisha). But he is really worried whether she has any soft corner for him. To clear his doubts, he appoints a best detective in town (played by Kamal Haasan).
Ambujam is now on a cruise for film's shooting and the spy follows her up as on assignment and both get acquainted. Sooner, the spy's love (Sangeetha) mistakes their relationship which resulted in unexpected confusions. Now it's up to Gopal to clear up the problems that is followed by a happy ending.
Suriya will be playing a cameo role and it looks he may shake legs with Trisha for a song. 'Kalavani' fame Oviya, Ramesh Aravind, playback singer Usha Utap and few others will playing important roles in this romantic travelogue.

On November 19, Kamal Haasan's Manmadhan Ambu audio launch spread over two days in a cruise ship and at Singapore Expo, Max Pavilion will be telecast on the channel. It has got television industry watchers by surprise.
The music for this romantic comedy has been scored by none other than the effervescent music director Devi Sri Prasad. The movie has six songs; of which two have been sung by Kamal Haasan himself.
Manmadhan Ambu songs will be Released November 20.
