NANBAN (3 Idiots) Exclusive

Putting all assumptions, premonitions and the ifs and buts over the Tamil remake of '3 Idiots' the producers of the film Gemini Film Circuit has released a statement confirming their mega venture is titled 'Nanban', it will be directed by Shankar and star Vijay, Jeeva and Srikanth in Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi roles respectively.

The jumbo endeavor will have popular Tollywood heroine Ileana playing Kareena Kappor in Tamil. Other pivotal roles are played by Sathyaraj and Sathyan. Director SJ Suryah, Actress Anuya and Ajay Rathinam will make special appearances.

Scenes involving Jeeva, Srikanth, Sathyaraj, Sathyan and SJ Suryah are being shot in Ooty for the next ten days. Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay will join the team from February 25 for his portions.

Other important credits in the technical side are: Cinematography by Manoj Paramahamsa, Music by Harris Jayaraj, Lyrics by Na Muthukumar, Art by Muthuraj, Editing by Anthony, Dialogues by Shankar and Madan Karky.

Surya's 'Maatraan' directed by KV Anand

KV Anand's Surya starrer 'Maatraan'.

KV Anand join hands again with Surya Sivakumar after the big success of blockbuster Ayan. The film is produced by AGS films.The music of the film is by Harris Jeyaraj and is scripted by Subha. Now Anand is busy with post production work of his soon going to be released film titled 'Ko' starring Jiva.

The shoot of the film is starting soon after surya finishes shooting of 'Ezham Arivu'


Maatraan Movie (in the making news)

KV Anand not ready to disclose as to how many characters Suriya is playing in 'Maattran'. But he can say that he would appear in five different get-ups," says the filmmaker, who is expecting the release of 'Ko', his latest venture.

Saying that he would start shooting 'Maattran' only after 'Ko' hit the screens, Anand adds that the film would be a different experience for him as well as Suriya. "It is a demanding script," he says.

Produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram's AGS Entertainment, Anand's favourite team- Suriya, writers Suba and music composer Harris Jayaraj- is coming together once again in 'Maattran'.

Yudham Sei will be released on February 4

Producers AGS Entertainment of  the Mysskin directed venture Yudham Sei that features Cheran in the lead role have announced that the movie will be released on February 4 according to industry reports.

The audio launch function will happen on Sunday, also to be telecast live on television from 11.30 am.It is rooted to be a racy thriller, where Cheran plays the role of a CBI officer.



Director Ameer and the sultry siren Neetu Chandra will shake a leg as the item girl adding spice to the movie.

Tell us about the Pongal treat Siruthai?

This film is the remake of the Telugu film. It has come out ten times powerful than the Telugu version. They have added lot of interesting factors in the screenplay and has made it beautiful. It has come out extraordinarily well. I am donning the role of an innocent girl who falls in love with Karthi.

Tell us about your lover Karthi?

Don't tell like that. Tell that he is Siruthai's film lover. There want be a slightest shade of Paiyya in this film. He has changed his looks. He has excelled in every individual scene. I was very much impressed with Karthi. He is donning the role of a pickpocket. It is a very energetic character. There will be a fantastic romantic comedy at the first meeting itself.

You are always flying. Don't you have the idea of settling in Chennai?

I am very home sick. I always feel like going home in Mumbai after completing my work. My father, mother and friends are all there. I am not able to leave them. That is the reason for not acquiring a house here.

When are you going to act with senior actors?

I definitely have that desire. I want to act with Rajni and Kamal sirs. But the opportunity is yet to come. I also got lots of desire to act in films directed by Manirathnam, Shankar, Gowtham Menon, Sasikumar and Radha Mohan. After five years when I turn back and see, I should have the satisfaction that I had acted in good roles. I always feel that whatever work we do, we should do it with dedication and sincerity.

Who are your close friends in Tamil cinema?

Poonam Bajwa and Vedhika are my very close friends. We three always go for shopping. We also go to restaurants regularly. Please believe me that I have no boyfriends. I wish everyone and all a happy Pongal.

It looks like 'Kaavalan' will be a hit movie?

Being ardent fans of Ilayathalapathy Vijay, it has been a disappointing thing to see that the actor hasn't given any hits in the past 3 years except 'Pokkiri'. Now the actor has completed changed his style of film as 'Kaavalan' will not have any traces of his previous films. This is a pure heart-touching love story that has poignancies sprinkled everywhere.

Ajith Kumar and Vijay expressed their token of friendship

It was an unanticipated occasion as the actors didn't expect of coming across each other.
